I’m Megan Seeley, a small-town Michigan mom, wife, and Planning Fairy Godmother with big dreams of empowering women to live their lives boldly and authentically through the pages of their planners.
Most days, you’ll find me in yoga pants, binge-watching Psych on one screen and working away on the other with a cup of coffee or 4. I'm a true crime lover, horizontal stripes aficionado, and luxury bath time champion (ask me about my buffalo wings bath sometime).
Planners saved my life.
As a new mom back in 2015, I found myself putting everyone and everything else before my own needs.
SELF-CARE WAS AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE TO-DO LIST (IF IT MADE IT THERE AT ALL).
My Simplified Planner* empowered me to physically create time in my schedule to take care of myself, and in return every other aspect of my life has improved.
It took nearly a year, an ER trip, thousands of dollars in medical bills, and a lot of tears before I realized that taking time for myself HAD to be a top priority in my life.
I FELT LIKE I WAS DROWNING, and worse, like I was failing as a mom because I resented not being able to “handle” the stay-at-home-mom life.
By the time my husband came home from work each day I was miserable, irritated, exhausted, and ashamed at state of our home.
IT WASN’T UNTIL MY DOCTOR ACTUALLY WROTE ME A PRESCRIPTION FOR DAYCARE...that I realized I had to stop putting this intense pressure on myself to do everything and be everything to everyone but myself. That little permission slip helped me realize that the only way I could give my family the best version of me was to start putting my care at the top of the list.
WE CAN'T ALL HAVE A KICKASS DOCTOR LIKE MINE, SO CONSIDER THIS MY PERMISSION SLIP TO YOU, TO MAKE YOUR SELF-CARE A NON-NEGOTIABLE.
I believe that life is lived within the pages of your planner, and that your self-care and dreams are not only non-negotiable, but are schedulable (which may not sound sexy, but that's life, baby).
The Plan to Plan Process
I'm really passionate about teaching women effective planning strategies to help them step into their own worth and boldly live the life of their dreams.
This happens using a process I call Plan to Plan (which if you hang out with me for any amount of time is something you're going to become VERY familiar with). Following the Plan to Plan process each week, you get to put on your comfy pants, pour yourself a glass of wine, and get your favorite guilty pleasure TV show queued up on Netflix as you map out your week in your planner.
Plan to Plan is built on a 3 part framework of putting:
Your self-care first
Your obligations to others second
Your to-do list third
Your to-do list isn’t going anywhere, friend. And the only way to accomplish those big things you want to do in life and business, you’ve got to take care of number one.
The first step? Is getting the right planner in your hands!
